Lucy Campbell is my next guest on Thursday Book Club

The world has been a difficult place these last weeks and many of you have been directly or indirectly affected by the war in the Middle East. I wish you comfort in your daily life as my heart goes out to you.

Many congratulations to Catherine du Peloux Menagé who curated a terrific four days of talks and parties and events at BAD Sydney Crime Writers Festival. I was delighted to share the stage with Michael Robotham and Tim Ayliffe, hosted by the always sensational Sue Turnbull. It was wonderful to interview some of our new crime writers: Darcy Tindale, Nikki Mottram and Rhys Gard, who is also the director of Mudgee Readers Festival.

Congratulations also to the organisers of the inaugural online Adoption Literary Festival which took place on Saturday.

Finally, a shoutout to the Ripples Primary School Program co-ordinated by Fiona Lloyd, author of Being Jimmy Baxter.  Courtesy of Ripples, I spent the morning talking about time travel to the Year 5 and Year 6 students of Ourimbah Public School.

PS if you missed my interview with Sophie Masson, who was last month's guest on Thursday Book Club, you can watch it here.

PPS  I'm looking forward to my NSW and Victorian book tour in November, with events in Port Macquarie, Coffs Harbour, Byron Bay, Glen Innes, Melbourne, Geelong and Castlemaine. Hope to see some of you on my travels. You can find details of my author events here
